Mr. Curry has more than 20 years of experience leading and managing complex health programs with numerous concurrent projects. He has served as Principal Investigator, Co-Principal Investigator, and Project Director on research support services contracts with NCI, NIEHS, NIAID, and NIDCR. He has also managed numerous epidemiologic studies, regulated clinical trials, and health services research projects and co-authored related publications and presentations. Earlier in his career, Mr. Curry worked as a nurse in a large academic medical center with roles in direct patient care and population-based research. His exceptional project management skills enables him to oversee multiple projects simultaneously, keep projects on schedule, and allocate resources effectively, ensuring successful execution and high quality services.
Prior to joining ICA, Mr. Curry managed numerous projects and task orders that provided investigators with data management, data science, and biostatistical support services. With 17 years of experience leading cross-functional teams, including functions such as software engineering, computer science, and data science, he is able to quickly bring teams to alignment around technical plans, roles, deliverables, and opportunities for innovation. Some examples of analysis projects he has managed and contributed to technically include the application of ML approaches to improve imputation of missing data, identify novel risk factors, and assess bias in the ascertainment of health outcomes. Most recently, he collaborated with multidisciplinary teams who received an award from ARPA-H to leverage large language models to make biomedical data more FAIR and deliver insights to a wider range of users. Through these experiences, he has gained expertise in emerging trends and new developments in AI, particularly in relation to their application to healthcare.
